ప్రధాని మోడీ సీషెల్స్లో పర్యటిస్తున్నారు. మూడు రోజుల పర్యటన కోసం శనివారం సీషెల్స్ వెళ్లారు. ద్వీప దేశ జాతీయ దినోత్సవ స్వర్ణోత్సవ వేడుకల్లో పాల్గొననున్నారు. అనంతరం ఇరు దేశాల ద్వైపాక్షిక సంబంధాలపై చర్చించనున్నారు. అంతకముందు ఎయిర్పోర్టులో మోడీకి ఘనస్వాగతం పలికారు. భారతీయ సమాజం నుంచి కూడా స్వాగతం లభించింది. ఈ సందర్భంగా ప్రధానమంత్రి మాట్లాడుతూ.. భారతదేశం పట్ల ప్రవాస భారతీయులకున్న ప్రగాఢ అభిమానం, సీషెల్స్ ప్రగతికి వారు అందిస్తున్న నిరంతర సహకారం నిజంగా ప్రశంసనీయమని కొనియాడారు. అనంతరం సీషెల్స్ అధ్యక్షుడు పాట్రిక్ హెర్మినితో కలిసి ప్రధాని మోడీ చారిత్రాత్మక కోకో డి మెర్ మొక్కను నాటారు.
రాజధాని విక్టోరియా విమానాశ్రయంలో స్వాగత కార్యక్రమంలో కచ్ నృత్య ప్రదర్శనను ప్రధాని మోడీ వీక్షించారు. కచ్ ప్రాంతపు సాంప్రదాయ నృత్య ప్రదర్శనను వీక్షించిన అనంతరం.. భారతదేశపు గొప్ప సాంస్కృతిక వారసత్వాన్ని పరిరక్షించి.. ఘనంగా జరుపుకుంటున్నందుకు సీషెల్స్లోని ప్రవాస భారతీయులను ప్రశంసించారు. ‘‘అద్భుతమైన సాంస్కృతిక అనుసంధానం’’గా మోడీ అభివర్ణించారు. భారతదేశంలోని వివిధ ప్రాంతాల సంప్రదాయాలను సజీవంగా ఉంచుతున్నందుకు ప్రవాస భారతీయులను ఎక్స్లో ప్రశంసించారు.
