నోబెల్ శాంతి బహుమతి-2026 ప్రకటించే ముందు ముందు పాకిస్థాన్ ప్రధాని షెహబాజ్ షరీఫ్ అత్యుత్సాహం ప్రదర్శించారు. అమెరికా అధ్యక్షుడు డొనాల్డ్ ట్రంప్కు ఆ గౌరవం దక్కాలని ఆశ వ్యక్తం చేశారు. కానీ నోబెల్ కమిటీ ఐక్యరాజ్యసమితి మాజీ మానవ హక్కుల కమిషనర్ నవనీతమ్ నవి పిళ్లైను ఎంపిక చేసింది. దీంతో పాక్ ప్రధానికి పెద్ద పంచ్ పడినట్లైంది. అదే సమయంలో ఈ సారి నోబెల్ వస్తుందని బహిరంగంగా చెప్పుకున్న ట్రంప్ కు నిరాశే మిగిలింది. ఈ సందర్భంగా నోబెల్ విన్నర్ నవీ పిళ్లై చేసిన జోక్ ఇప్పుడు వైరల్ గా మారింది.
నోబెల్ పీస్ ప్రైజ్ ప్రకటించే కొన్ని గంటల ముందు షెహబాజ్ షరీఫ్ తన ఎక్స్ పోస్ట్‌లో నోబెల్ ట్రంప్ కే వస్తుందని పోస్ట్ చేశాడు. ట్రంప్ దక్షిణాసియాలో శాంతిని పెంపొందించడంలో చారిత్రక పాత్ర పోషించారు. ఆయన జోక్యం చేసుకోవడం వల్ల పాకిస్థాన్, భారత్ కాల్పుల విరమణ సాధించాయి. అది ఇప్పటికీ కొనసాగుతోంది.. అని పేర్కొన్నారు. పాకిస్థాన్ ట్రంప్‌ను నామినేట్ చేసినట్లు చెబుతూ, ఈసారి ఆయనకు గుర్తింపు దక్కాలని ఆశించినట్లు కూడా అన్నారు.
అయితే భారత్ ఈ వాదనను పదేపదే తిరస్కరిస్తూ వచ్చిన విషయం తెలిసిందే. 2025 మేలో కాశ్మీర్‌లో జరిగిన ఉగ్రవాద దాడికి ప్రతిస్పందనగా భారత్ ఆపరేషన్ సిందూర్ ప్రారంభించిన తర్వాత జరిగిన ఘర్షణలు ముగియడంలో ఏ థర్డ్ పార్టీకీ పాత్ర లేదని న్యూఢిల్లీ స్పష్టం చేసింది. మే 13, 2025న విదేశాంగ మంత్రిత్వ శాఖ ప్రతినిధి రణధీర్ జైస్వాల్ కాల్పుల విరమణ రెండు దేశాల మధ్య నేరుగా జరిగిందని చెప్పారు. విదేశీ కార్యదర్శి విక్రమ్ మిశ్రి కూడా ప్రధాని నరేంద్ర మోదీ ట్రంప్‌తో ఫోన్ సంభాషణలో భారత్ మధ్యవర్తిత్వాన్ని ఎప్పటికీ అంగీకరించదని చెప్పినట్లు తెలిపారు. ట్రంప్ మాత్రం తాను భారత్-పాక్ వివాదాన్ని ముగించానని దాదాపు 80 సార్లు చెప్పుకున్నారు.

Born into a family of Indian Tamil origin under apartheid in Durban, South Africa, Pillay became a lawyer and legal pioneer, confronting deep structural discrimination, segregation and exclusion. A common thread runs from her early work defending Nelson Mandela and others who stood up against apartheid to her service as a judge in some of the key international court cases of our time. This year’s laureate has significantly enlarged the scope and impact of international law. She has served as a judge on the High Court in South Africa, the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda and the International Criminal Court. She was the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and, until recently, she chaired the UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory. Today Navi Pillay is a judge on the International Court of Justice in the case where Myanmar stands accused of genocide. In historic international court cases, she has shown that legal measures can help prevent acts of war and violence. Navi Pillay has also contributed to strengthen the institutions of international law. నవి పిల్లే అపార్థైడ్ (జాతి వివక్ష) వ్యతిరేక ఉద్యమంలో నెల్సన్ మండేలా సహా ఇతరులకు న్యాయవాదిగా పనిచేశారు. ఆ తర్వాత దక్షిణాఫ్రికా హైకోర్టు, రువాండా అంతర్జాతీయ న్యాయస్థానం, అంతర్జాతీయ క్రిమినల్ కోర్టు (ICC) జడ్జిగా పనిచేశారు. ఐక్యరాజ్యసమితి మానవ హక్కుల హైకమిషనర్‌గా కూడా ఉన్నారు. ప్రస్తుతం ICCలో న్యాయవాదిగా కొనసాగుతున్నారు. నోబెల్ శాంతి బహుమతి విలువ సుమారు 1.2 మిలియన్ డాలర్లు అంటే 11 కోట్ల 60 లక్షల రూపాయలు. డిసెంబర్ 10న ఓస్లోలో అందజేస్తారు.
అవార్డు ప్రకటన తర్వాత నవి పిల్లే హాస్యంగా స్పందించారు. అమ్నెస్టీ ఇంటర్నేషనల్ సెక్రటరీ జనరల్ అగ్నెస్ కాలమార్డ్ పోస్ట్ చేసిన వీడియోలో ఆమె మరికాస్త చప్పట్లు కొడితే ఈ బహుమతిని ట్రంప్‌తో పంచుకుంటాను అని అన్నారు. గతేడాది విజేత వెనిజ్వెలా ప్రతిపక్ష నాయకురాలు మారియా కొరినా మచాడో కూడా ట్రంప్కు తన మెడల్ ఇచ్చిన సంగతి గుర్తుకు వచ్చింది. కానీ నోబెల్ కమిటీ ఒకసారి ఇచ్చిన బహుమతిని బదిలీ చేయడం లేదా పంచుకోవడం సాధ్యం కాదని స్పష్టం చేసింది.
